Tim got up for his hair appointment at 8 am for a trim. Let’s hope they don’t buzz it like before!
We went to the Enrichment Lecture on Norway at 10 am. We had the German buffet lunch on deck at
noon and then went to the afternoon Enrichment Lecture on the Arctic. Both talks were very informative.
We had a leisurely afternoon. Rupesh, our butler, brought us afternoon
canapes since tonight is a formal night.
We enjoyed those and then went to the Captain’s reception at 6 in the
theatre. The place was packed on this
cruise. Last cruise, no one went!
We had a drink in Observation with Chris and Linda and then
went to dinner about 7:30. We shared a
table with a couple from England and a couple from Sydney. A lively evening and a good meal. We had a nightcap in Observation and then
went to bed about 11.
The weather out has been awful most of the day – just as I
imagined the North Sea would be.
Whitecaps and rain off and on. It
got a bit rough during the night but I imagine we’ll see a lot worse as the
cruise continues. And it is staying
light much longer now as we sail north to the Arctic Circle.
