We got up about 8.
Tim had to go to Medical for another intravenous treatment with the
physician. We had breakfast together in
La Veranda and relaxed on the ship during the morning. Many people went off on tours but our tour is
in the afternoon. We had an early lunch
in La Veranda and then went for our tour at 1:20 pm. The Russian officials make it very difficult
with passports.
Our tour was a city tour with Russian pancakes at the
end. We visited their “Cultural Center”
– not very well maintained and in bad shape.
We went to the large war memorial statue overlooking the city. It commemorates their victory over the
Nazis. Then we went to a small Russian
orthodox church and lighthouse. Then we
went to the Park Inn Hotel where we had Russian pancakes and coffee or
tea. It was basically a crepe with jam
and crème fresh.

We returned to the ship.
Tim went for another nebulizer treatment and then we went for drinks in
the Horizons bar during sail away. We
had a sharing table in Prime 7 and enjoyed the company of Phil and Margie from
Long Island, Jim and Pam from Asheville, and Lynn and Paula from the Bahamas. Fun evening and a great dinner. We should probably do “sharing tables” more
often.
After dinner I got another reservation for Signatures on the
last night that we’ll enjoy with Chris and Linda Bailey.
We went to the Kevin Hack show – a one man performance. He’s a good performer and very handsome. We then went to Observations for a nightcap but
Tim is drinking only club soda as he’s on meds.
Then we were off to bed. I closed
the black- out curtains as well as the “inner curtains” in our cabin again and
got a good night’s sleep finally.
